Join us for a roundtable discussion on the implications of the National Care Service (NCS) Bill, introduced to the Scottish Parliament on 22 June 2022. Further details around the NCS Bill can be found here.
This event will focus on Section 37, which sets out mandated standards for the storing, formatting, and indexing information within the health and care sectors.
In particular, the Scottish Government are interested in exploring how information technology suppliers are best represented in the scope of section 37. The discussion will therefore explore industry perspectives, potential challenges, and opportunities for shaping the secondary legislation.

The Department for Business and Trade’s UK Defence & Security Exports in collaboration with ADS Scotland will be running an SME Surgery on Thursday 28th November (0930-1300) at Queen Elizabeth House, Edinburgh and virtually via Ms Teams.
The surgery will give businesses an insight into how to access export opportunities in the defence, security and aerospace sector and how the UK Defence & Security Exports team can support you. Following the presentations and discussions there will be a networking opportunity over lunch and the opportunity to have one-to-one meetings with members of the team.
The surgery will cover a range of areas including:
- UK Defence & Security Exports team and how they support businesses
- ADS Scotland and how they support their members
- What defence trade missions and events are coming up
- How to use UK Defence & Security Exports’ equipment demonstration facilities
- What you need to know about Export Licences
- Accessing funding from the Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA)
- Looking at a range of export markets and opportunities on the horizon
